The 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar, will be shown on Al Jazeera Sports,

On the 5th of August 2003, the president of the board of director of Al Jazeera television decided to establish Al Jazeera Sports. By the end of August 2003, the channel began its broadcasting.
Al Jazeera Sports adopts a humanitarian vision which is clear and defined in the following terms: Sports is a universal language beyond the limits of the differences and the differences between human beings on the planet. The role of sports should not be limited to playgrounds, but sports should extend this role to form a bridge of dialogue which contributes to develop mutual understanding, respect and acceptance of others. In return, this helps in developing world peace as well as solves humanitarian problems worldwide.
Al Jazeera Sports has a clear and specific vision with respects to sports media and seeks to assume the role of leadership in this area, so that it remains the main source for those interested sports.
